| Additional information |
Cabinda is an Angolan exclave separated from the rest of the country by a strip of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and it has sustained a low-level independence movement — the FLEC — since before Angola itself gained independence from Portugal in 1975. The "Banco de Cabinda" has no recognized legal standing; these pieces are privately produced fantasy issues, not sanctioned by any government or monetary authority, and have never circulated.
