| Reverse description | The reverse presents a full-length, coloured effigy of a traditional Abkhazian-Circassian warrior, the Natuhaetz (Natukhai), rendered in a naturalistic, polychrome applied-colour technique against a milled silver field. The figure is depicted in three-quarter view facing left, dressed in traditional Caucasian attire comprising a tan cherkesska coat with cartridge pockets (gazyr), a dark burka cloak draped over one shoulder, and soft leather boots; he carries a long musket or pole over his shoulder. The upper portion of the field features a dark ornamental frieze with elaborate Circassian scroll-work corner embellishments and two symmetrically placed rosette motifs. Flanking a central emblem of two rearing horsemen, the Abkhazian Cyrillic legends 'азахэ' and 'адыгэ' are inscribed in the upper field. The composition is enclosed within a beaded rectangular border. |
