| Descrizione del dritto | Central vignette comprises a portrait of Salvador Correia de Sá e Benevides (1594–1664), the Portuguese admiral and colonial administrator renowned for expelling the Dutch from Angola and recapturing São Tomé in 1647, rendered in intaglio against a fine guilloche underprint. The denomination numeral "20" appears in each corner, with the issuer's title inscribed in a cartouche across the upper register. A decorative border of interlocking geometric guilloche elements frames the entire face. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The central vignette presents a finely engraved intaglio battle scene commemorating the Reconquest of Luanda in 1648, with Portuguese soldiers storming toward the fortified hilltop stronghold of São Miguel whilst fallen combatants lie in the foreground; sailing vessels are visible in the harbour to the right, and a large tree anchors the right margin. The legend "A RECONQUISTA DE LOANDA EM 1648" is inscribed in the lower right of the vignette. The denomination numeral "20" is repeated in each corner within ornate guilloche panels, and the printer's imprint "THOMAS DE LA RUE & COY. LTD. LONDRES INGLATERRA" appears in small letterpress text at the foot of the note. |
