Reverse description The reverse presents an elaborate abstract composition of deconstructed Hangeul phonetic components — circles, triangles, horizontal and vertical strokes — arranged dynamically around the central square perforation, symbolising the geometric and systematic nature of the Hangeul alphabet as devised by King Sejong. The stylised elements are rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, creating a visually rhythmic, modernist design. In the upper right of the field, the English legend '560th Hangeul Day' appears in two lines. The lower circumferential legend reads: 2006 · THE BANK OF KOREA · 20000WON.
