| 正面描述 | Central vignette of Chinggis Khaan (born Temüjin, c. 1162–1227) in portrait, flanked by a Paiza (Gerege) — an imperial tablet of authority issued to Mongol officials and envoys granting rights to requisition goods and services from the civilian population. The National Coat of Arms appears alongside the portrait, with a commemorative stamp applied to the right side of the note. The design commemorates the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Great Mongol State (1206–2006). |

| 备注 |
Issued to mark the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Mongol Empire in 1206, when Temüjin was proclaimed Genghis Khan at a kurultai on the Onon River. The commemorative premise is historically somewhat elastic — the empire's founding date has been the subject of scholarly dispute, and 2006 was in any case a politically convenient round number for national celebration.
Pick 71A is a paper variant; a polymer version (Pick 71) was issued concurrently, which is the more commonly encountered of the two. The paper issue was produced in smaller quantities and is noticeably scarcer in the secondary market.
