正面描述	The obverse is printed in brown ink on plain paper within a decorative engraved border of rope and foliate motifs. A row of seven oval vignettes runs across the upper portion, each containing a different allegorical or natural motif — including a radiant sun, a cross, a palm tree, and landscape scenes — framing a larger central blank oval. Below, the printed text in period Portuguese script reads the promise to pay, with the place of issue 'LISBOA', the year '1799', denomination '20$000 Rs', and serial number in manuscript, followed by two manuscript signatures at the foot.
