| Reverse description | A detailed high-relief view of the Selimiye Mosque in Edirne, widely regarded as the masterwork of the Ottoman imperial architect Mimar Sinan, dominates the central field, its four slender minarets rising prominently above the main dome and surrounding structures. In the lower left of the field, a circular cartouche bearing an Ottoman tughra-style device is flanked by the commemorative dates '1588-1988'. The engraver's signature 'Hakçavuşgil' appears at lower right. The curved legend 'MİMAR SİNAN 400. ANMA YILI' arcs along the upper periphery, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the architect's death. |
