Obverse description The obverse depicts a three-quarter bust of Béni Egressy, the composer who set the Szózat poem to music, shown in period dress with a bow tie, positioned to the left of center. To the upper right, two staves of musical notation reproduce the opening bars of the Szózat melody, with the Hungarian lyrics 'Hazádnak rendületlenül' and 'Légy híve, oh magyar' inscribed beneath the respective staves. In the right background, a finely engraved rendering of a neoclassical building — identified as the former Hungarian National Theatre — is visible. The facsimile signature 'Egressy Béni' appears in the lower right field. The curved legend '175 ÉVES A SZÓZAT ZENÉJE' arcs along the upper rim.
