正面描述 The upper field depicts a stylized relief scene of the Sinjska Alka tournament procession passing beneath the fortified walls of the Sinj fortress, with a flag flying above the ramparts and decorative foliage flanking the composition. To the left, the state coat of arms of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is prominently displayed, incorporating the date 29·XI·1943 on the central shield, encircled by wheat sheaves and a five-pointed star above. Below the central scene, figures in traditional Dalmatian Alka costumes are shown in procession carrying lances and instruments. The bilingual legend in Latin and Cyrillic scripts reads SFR JUGOSLAVIJA / СФР ЈУГОСЛАВИЈА, with the denomination D 20000 Д inscribed along the lower rim.

附加信息

The Sinjska Alka is a horseback jousting competition held annually in Sinj, a town in Dalmatian Croatia, commemorating the 1715 defeat of an Ottoman force that vastly outnumbered the local defenders. The competition has been running continuously since 1717 and was inscribed on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2010 — though that recognition came well after this coin's issue.

Yugoslavia's gold commemorative program of the 1980s was partly aimed at hard-currency generation during a period of acute foreign debt crisis. By 1985, Yugoslav inflation was accelerating toward the collapse that would make the dinar effectively worthless within a decade.
