Beschrijving voorzijde	Blue-dominant note with an intaglio portrait of Hồ Chí Minh at right, set against radiating guilloche lines. At centre, the national emblem of Vietnam is superimposed over an elaborate multicolour underprint of floral and geometric rosettes, with the denomination spelled out in bold letterpress as "HAI MƯƠI NGHÌN ĐỒNG". A coloured windrose vignette occupies the left field, flanked by ornate corner scrollwork, with the date 1991 inscribed at the lower centre border.
