| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two distinct vertical panels: a left-hand green panel bearing the denomination '20 000 000 MARK' printed vertically in white letterpress on a guilloche-patterned ground, and a larger right-hand panel with an orange and pink underprint enclosed within an elaborate scalloped and rosette guilloche border. The central text panel carries the denomination 'Zwanzig Millionen Mark' in bold Gothic Fraktur script at the top, followed by the serial number field, a multi-line redemption text in German, the issuing authority, the date 'TRIER, den 14. August 1923', and several manuscript committee signatures. |
