The 1927 Polish two-złoty coinage program produced multiple trial strikes as the newly reconstituted Mennica Państwowa worked to establish a stable postwar currency following years of hyperinflation under the marka. This silver trial — heavier than the eventually adopted circulation pieces — represents one of several rejected specifications tested before the final alloy and weight were confirmed. KM#Pn57 is among the rarer documented patterns from this period, with surviving examples almost exclusively held in institutional collections or emerging from a handful of specialized Polish numismatic auctions over the past three decades.
