Obverse description At center, the crowned White Eagle — the Polish national emblem — is depicted in high relief, facing right with wings spread and talons displayed, rendered in fine naturalistic detail. The legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters. The date 1999 appears below the eagle in the field, flanked on either side by stylized decorative leaf motifs in the lower portion of the coin. The denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ is inscribed along the lower rim, with the numeral 2 prominently centered beneath the eagle.
