Obverse description Central device features the crowned Polish white eagle displayed, with wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper periphery in Latin characters. The date 2001 appears in the lower field flanking the eagle's talons, with the mint mark MW positioned to the left. The denomination 2 ZŁ is inscribed in large numerals along the lower border, flanked by the currency abbreviation ZŁ on either side, all separated by decorative dot ornaments.
