| Beschrijving voorzijde | At center, the crowned Polish White Eagle — the national emblem — is depicted in high relief facing right, with wings spread and talons extended. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper rim. The date 2012 is divided by the eagle's body and flanks, with '20' to the left and '12' to the right in the field. Below the eagle, the denomination '2' is prominently displayed flanked by the currency abbreviations 'ZŁ' to the left and 'ZŁ' to the right. Small decorative dots punctuate the lower field between the date numerals and the denomination. |

Krzemionki Opatowskie is a Neolithic and early Bronze Age flint mining complex in the Świętokrzyskie region, one of the largest and best-preserved prehistoric extraction sites in Europe, operating roughly from the 3900s to 1600 BC. The site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019, seven years after this coin was struck — part of Poland's long-running Nordic gold series commemorating national monuments before international recognition caught up with them.
