| Obverse description | The crowned Polish imperial eagle with spread wings occupies the central field, rendered in fine relief with detailed feathering. The circumferential legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper rim, while the date 2009 is divided by the eagle's body on either side at mid-field. The denomination, expressed as ZŁ 2 ZŁ, appears below the eagle in the lower field, flanked by decorative dot borders. The design follows the standard obverse type used for the Polish Nordic gold commemorative 2 Złote series. |

| Reverse description | A fully armoured Polish Winged Hussar cavalryman of the 17th century is depicted in dynamic right-facing profile, mounted on a charging horse. The hussar wears a crested helmet and articulated plate armour, and carries a long lance; the iconic eagle-feather wings rise prominently behind his shoulders. The horse is shown at full stride with legs extended, conveying martial energy, and a stylised ground line appears in the lower field. The legend HUSARZ – XVII w. is inscribed along the left rim in an arc. The mint engraver's initials appear at the base of the design. |
