Obverse description The obverse features the crowned Polish eagle with wings spread, rendered in high relief at the center of the field, serving as the national arms of the Republic of Poland. The legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper periphery, while the date 2002, split to either side of the eagle's talons, appears in the lower mid-field, flanked by decorative dot borders. Below the eagle, the denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ is inscribed across the lower field. The mint mark of the Mint of Poland (MW) appears beneath the eagle. The design was engraved by Ewa Tyc-Karpińska.
