Obverse description The Polish state eagle, crowned and displayed with wings spread, occupies the central field. The date '2009' is split across the lower left and right fields, flanking the eagle's talons. Below the eagle, the denomination '2 ZŁ' appears in large numerals with the currency symbol repeated on either side. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' arcs around the upper portion of the coin, separated from the inner field by a ring of decorative dots.
