Obverse description The crowned Polish White Eagle displayed occupies the upper half of the field, rendered in fine relief with spread wings and detailed feathering. Below the eagle, a stylized representation of a medieval city gate or archway with masonry coursework fills the lower portion of the coin, alluding to the historic fortifications of Chełmno. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs along the upper rim, flanked by the date 2006 to the right. The denomination 2 ZŁ appears to the lower right of the eagle, with the mint mark MW positioned beneath the eagle's breast.
