Obverse description At center, the Polish state emblem: a crowned white eagle displayed with wings spread, rendered in fine relief. The legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA curves along the upper periphery, while the date 2002 is divided on either side of the eagle in the lower field, flanked by decorative dot groups. The denomination ZŁ 2 ZŁ appears in large numerals at the bottom, also flanked by dots. The mint mark of the Mint of Poland (MW) appears small beneath the eagle's tail.
