Obverse description The copper-nickel centre features the Polish state eagle displayed, crowned, with wings spread and talons visible, rendered in bold relief against a plain field. The eagle, emblematic of the Polish coat of arms, faces dexter and is struck in the lighter-toned bimetallic core, creating a strong two-tone contrast with the aluminium bronze outer ring. The circumferential legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs around the upper portion of the ring, while the four-digit date flanked by raised dots appears at the base of the ring. The mint mark MW is incorporated discreetly within the design, positioned beneath the eagle.
