| 正面描述 | The obverse features the crowned Polish White Eagle — the national coat of arms — rendered in bold relief at the centre of the field, its wings displayed and talons prominent. Flanking the lower portion of the eagle are two stylised diagonal bands or ribbons extending toward the coin's rim, adding a dynamic decorative element to the composition. The circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' arcs along the upper periphery, while the date '1995' appears in the lower field beneath the eagle. The denomination '2' is inscribed prominently at the bottom, flanked on either side by the currency abbreviation 'ZŁ', all engraved by Ewa Tyc-Karpińska. |

Poland's 1995 commemorative program marked the centennial of the modern Olympic movement, timed to the 1996 Atlanta Games rather than the 1896 Athens anniversary itself — a one-year offset that reflects the practical realities of commemorative scheduling. The Nordic Gold-style cupro-nickel composition used here was part of a deliberate policy by the NBP in the mid-1990s to issue affordable collectibles at face value, flooding the collector market and keeping mintages high enough that survivors in top condition are not genuinely scarce despite their age.
