Reverse description A draped female figure, representing the Church or Faith, seated facing left upon a rocky outcrop, her head veiled and surrounded by a radiant nimbus, extending her right hand outward while her left hand rests upon a tall Latin cross standing at her right side. A dove with outstretched wings descends from above at upper left. The engraver's signature G. CERBARA F. and the date 1825 appear in the exergue on a raised baseline. The legend POPVLIS EXPIATIS is arranged in two vertical columns flanking the central design.
