正面描述 The state arms of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam — a gold star on red field within a circular wreath — is centered against a radiating sunburst guilloche pattern that fills the note. The denomination numeral '2' appears in the left and right margins within ornamental frames, and a decorative floral border frames the entire composition. The value inscription 'HAI XU' is displayed in a rectangular cartouche at the base, below the arms.

备注

Vietnam's National Bank issued this tiny-format note as a fractional instrument during a period when the southern economy was under severe inflationary pressure and coinage was largely absent from everyday transactions. The xu denominations — 1, 2, and 5 — circulated as practical substitutes for metal that the government could not reliably produce in sufficient quantity.

P#75 is among the more elusive of the xu series in any grade, largely because notes this small were easily lost, discarded, or pulped after their brief useful life.
