Slovenia's euro-series circulating bimetallic coinage was struck ahead of the country's eurozone accession on 1 January 2007, making 2006-dated pieces part of the official changeover stock rather than coins that ever circulated under a separate monetary system — Slovenia having already retired the tolar by the time most of these reached the public.
