| Obverse description | Each half-coin displays the obverse in mirror symmetry. Within an arched architectural frame, the legend 'MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG' (Republic of Hungary) is inscribed in two lines across the upper field, followed by the denomination '2000 FORINT' in large numerals at centre. The mint mark 'BP.' and year '2000' appear in the lower field, with the engraver's signature 'LEBÓ F' at the bottom. A small Hungarian mint logo is struck at the top of each half. When the two halves are placed together, the full round composition is restored with the legends and decorative columns forming a unified design. |
