Reverse description A plain cross with broad arms extends to the full width of the inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quadrants and intersecting the surrounding legend. The legend is contained within a beaded circle, with the arms of the cross breaking through it at the cardinal points. The overall design is characteristic of the simple cross-type used on Swiss Kleinmünzen of the mid-sixteenth century, with a plain, unadorned field in each quadrant.
