| Obverse description | Facing bust of Nāṣer al-Dīn Shāh Qājār at center, depicted in military uniform adorned with decorations and a tall Qājār lambskin (Kolāh-e Nādir) hat, rendered in a slightly three-quarter portrait style. Arabic-script legends arc to the left and right of the effigy, recording the date of his accession to the throne (1264 AH) and the mint date (1299 AH), with the denomination 'دو تومان' (Two Tomans) inscribed below. A fine beaded border surrounds the entire design. |
