| Descrizione del dritto | Right-facing bust of Mozaffar ad-Din Shah Qajar occupying the central field, depicted wearing a distinctive tall karakul hat surmounted by an elaborate aigrette feather plume, and a heavily jewelled military tunic with decorative epaulettes. The shah's moustache and refined facial features are rendered with fine engraving typical of late Qajar court portraiture. Arabic-script legends appear to the left and right of the effigy, reading the commemorative inscription for the royal birthday, with the regnal year 1322 AH incused along the lower truncation of the bust. The coin is framed by a fine toothed border. |

Struck to commemorate the birthday of Mozaffar od-Din Shah, who reigned from 1896 until his death in 1907 — just days after signing the constitutional decree that effectively ended absolute Qajar rule. These royal birthday issues were presentation pieces rather than circulation coinage, produced in limited quantities for court distribution. The constitutional revolution they inadvertently preceded makes survivorship of his regnal issues a minor irony of Persian numismatic history.
