| Reverse description | Central field bears a bold multi-line Arabic calligraphic legend in Nasta'liq script proclaiming the royal titles of Mozaffar ad-Din Shah, enclosed within a finely beaded inner circle. The central inscription is surrounded by a symmetrical wreath of oak branches with acorns, tied at the base with a decorative bow, a motif characteristic of late Qajar coinage. The mint name Tehran (طهران) appears at the base, below the wreath. The entire design is framed by a raised toothed border. The composition combines traditional Persian calligraphic artistry with European heraldic wreath conventions introduced during the Qajar monetary reforms. |
