Reverse description Central device depicts the Imperial Iranian Lion and Sun emblem: a passant lion in profile facing right, holding a sword upright in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun emerging from behind its back. Above the lion is a crowned Qajar crown. The entire device is framed by a wreath of oak and olive branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. Below the lion, in the exergue area within the wreath, is the denomination inscription 'دو تومان' (Two Tomans) with the date ۱۳۱۱ (AH 1311). A beaded border encircles the design.
