A circular beaded or pelleted border encloses the quadrilobe, with the devotional legend running within the surrounding annular band in uncial characters. The overall design follows the conventional double tournois type of the southern Low Countries feudal coinage. |

John of Bunde held Brogel as a minor lordship within the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, and his copper issues occupy an obscure corner of Low Countries feudal coinage — small-denomination pieces struck under the fragmented monetary rights that the Prince-Bishops periodically struggled to police. The tournois type itself was by this date an archaic denomination, its form borrowed from the French gros tournois tradition but debased far beyond any original silver pretension.
The vdCh and Lucas references both fail to cite a direct parallel, placing this piece in genuinely unresolved territory for the series.
