| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a boldly struck equestrian figure of Saint Martin of Tours in three-quarter view to the left, mounted on a prancing horse, depicted in contemporary armour and wearing a plumed helmet, in the act of sharing his cloak with a kneeling beggar below the horse's hooves — the iconographic motif that earned this type the popular designation 'Bettlertaler' (beggar thaler). A small shield bearing the Mainz wheel is visible at the lower field.
