Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, the elaborate quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Cologne are displayed at centre, incorporating the black cross of Cologne, the lion of the Isenburg family, three hearts, and an eagle, all surmounted by an ornate archiepiscopal hat with crossed processional staves and suspended tassels, the whole set within rich Renaissance foliate mantling. The circular Latin legend MONETA NOVA ARGEN TVICII runs around the periphery between the beaded border and the outer rim of the diamond-shaped klippe flan.
