Obverse description Armored and draped bust of Maximilian I facing right, depicted in high relief with elaborate plate armor and a richly draped mantle fastened at the shoulder, his bearded face rendered with fine portraiture detail. The effigy displays curly hair and a pointed beard characteristic of early 17th-century portrait style. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust within a beaded border, identifying the ruler by his full titles.
