| Reverse description | The reverse features a lengthy 18-line memorial inscription in Roman capital letters arranged across the entire field, commemorating Ernst, Count of Stolberg-Königstein, Rochefort, Wernigerode, and Hohnstein. The text records his birth at Ilsenburg on 25 March 1650, his assumption of rule in 1672, his marriage to Sophia Dorothea of Schwarzburg-Hohnstein, the survival of four children, and his death at Ilsenburg on 9 November 1710, concluding with the dedicatory word SACRVM. The mintmaster's initials I·I·G· appear in the exergue at the bottom of the inscription. |
