Reverse description Central crowned and mantled two-fold electoral arms of Saxony — quartered with the barry of Saxony and the rampant lion of the Palatinate — displayed within an elaborate cartouche with scrollwork and foliate ornamentation. The mintmaster's initials C and R are separated to either side of the shield at center. The date 1671 appears in the left field, and the circular Latin legend runs along the outer rim, divided by a small rosette ornament at the top.
