| Obverse description | Central field displays the interlaced crowned cypher JF (for Duke John Frederick) surrounded by a wreath-like arrangement of fourteen small armorial shields representing the ducal territories. The denomination numeral 2 is punched into the field. The encircling legend contains the date 1672 along with the initials LW for the mint master, rendered in fine engraved Latin lettering typical of the high Baroque Löser coinage tradition. |

| Reverse description | The iconic leaping Hanoverian horse is depicted in high relief bounding to the left, its mane and tail flowing dramatically, with a laurel branch beneath its neck and stylized clouds in the upper right field. Below the horse stretches a richly detailed panoramic mining scene of the Harz region, featuring miners at work, pithead structures, ore-processing buildings, and a smelting works, all rendered with exceptional pictorial precision characteristic of the Ausbeute (mining yield) Löser series. The ornate inner border of interlocking rings frames the entire composition. |
