| 背面描述 | The reverse presents an allegorical scene in finely executed baroque relief depicting the Margrave John Frederick standing centrally in contemporary dress and armour, flanked by the personifications of Piety on his left and Justice on his right. Piety, draped and crowned, gestures upward toward a radiant crown emanating divine rays from above, while Justice holds her scales and sword. A decorative column bearing an hourglass stands at the far right, and a lion crouches at the feet of Justice. The two-line exergue below reads ILLA DUCE . HAC / COMITE, while the upper field carries the partial legend PIETATE E . IVS . TITIA, completing the full motto 'PIETATE ET IUSTITIA ILLA DUCE HAC COMITE' (With Piety as guide and Justice as companion). |

Brandenburg-Ansbach in 1679 was ruled by John Frederick, a margrave who spent heavily on court life and left the territory's finances in poor shape at his death in 1686. Double thalers of this margraviate are scarce survivors — large silver multiples were produced in limited numbers for presentation and diplomatic purposes rather than commerce, and few circulated in any meaningful sense. KM#89 is not a common encounter in any grade.
