Beschrijving voorzijde Draped bust of Duke John Frederick of Württemberg facing right, wearing a high lace ruff collar and armour with elaborately decorated pauldrons, his curly hair rendered in fine relief. The portrait is set within a raised inner border and occupies the majority of the field. The circumferential Latin legend reads JOHANN FRID D G DUX WIRTEMBERG ET TEC, distributed around the bust, with a beaded outer rim encircling the entire design. The engraving reflects the high-relief hammered technique characteristic of early seventeenth-century South German coinage.

Beschrijving keerzijde Centrally placed quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Württemberg — three stag antlers in the first and fourth quarters, the lozengy pattern of Teck in the second quarter, and additional territorial charges in the third quarter — surmounted by a ducal crown with elaborate scrollwork mantling flanking the escutcheon. The date 1620 appears to the left of the shield within the field. The circumferential Latin legend COM MONT DOMIN HEIDENHEM is distributed around the shield, enclosed within a beaded outer rim. The reverse motto PROVIDE ET CONSTANTER ("With foresight and constancy") forms part of the full legend, reflecting the ducal device of John Frederick.
