Obverse description Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed, with the Austrian arms emblazoned on its breast. Two small shields of arms are positioned to either side of the eagle, dividing the encircling Latin legend in the outer field. The eagle's spread wings fill the coin's field, rendered in the late Renaissance style typical of late 16th-century German coinage.
