| Reverse description | Central display of a large, elaborately mantled and crowned heraldic achievement comprising two conjoined escutcheons — the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Trier on the left and the arms of the House of Eltz on the right — surmounted by an electoral bonnet beneath an archiepiscopal cross, flanked by decorative acanthus scrollwork and supported by elaborate Renaissance ornamental strapwork. The entire composition is richly detailed in the German Renaissance style. The circumscribed Latin legend MONETA NOVA ARG CONFLV runs around the periphery, enclosed within a rope-twist border. |
