| Beschrijving keerzijde | The quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Bremen and the House of Brunswick-Lüneburg displayed on an ornate shield, surmounted by an elaborate crested helm with mantling in Renaissance style. The upper quarters bear the arms of the Archbishopric of Bremen (key) and the Duchy of Brunswick (two lions passant), while the lower quarters display additional territorial arms. The helm crest features a crowned figure above foliate mantling. The encircling Latin legend reads MONETA * NOVA * BREMENSIS * 1562, identifying this as the new coinage of Bremen dated 1562. The entire composition is enclosed within a laurel-wreath inner border. |
