Reverse description Elaborately quartered coat of arms of the Archbishopric of Mainz surmounted by an electoral hat, the central escutcheon bearing the arms of Greiffenklau impaled with those of Mainz, flanked by two rampant lions as supporters. The shield is adorned with ornate Baroque cartouche scrollwork filling the field. The circular Latin legend surrounding the central device, separated by a beaded border, proclaims the coin as a new silver coinage of Mainz.
