| Reverse description | Central crowned Hohenzollern eagle displayed, its breast bearing a quartered shield of the Brandenburg arms, surrounded by an elaborate arrangement of multiple roundels each containing the heraldic arms of the various territories and dominions of the Elector. The roundels are set within an ornate foliate framework, creating a complex, densely detailed heraldic composition characteristic of 17th-century German double thalers. The mintmaster's initials C-M appear at the base of the design, and the date 1653 is integrated into the surrounding Latin legend, which continues the full titulature of the reverse. |
