| Description de l’avers | The obverse is divided into four quadrants by a cross formed by two intersecting bands, each bearing a portion of the German legend. The upper-left quadrant depicts hunters and animals in a forest scene; the upper-right shows a sailing vessel on open water; the lower-left portrays a rural farming landscape with figures and livestock; and the lower-right features a figure drawing water at a well, with drinking vessels nearby. The two legend bands intersect at the center, reading DIE MENSCHEN IN DER WELDT TRACHTN ALSO NACH GELT, rendered in Gothic lettering. The composition is executed in a detailed pictorial style characteristic of early seventeenth-century German Ausbeute coinage, celebrating the productivity of the Brunswick mines. |

| Description du revers | The reverse features a standing male figure, personifying Fortune or a mining allegory, depicted in three-quarter view at center. The figure stands atop a terrestrial globe, holding a billowing sail or cloth above his head with both arms outstretched, his long hair flowing, and a short draped garment about his waist. In the left field, a sailing ship is visible on the sea. The circular border legend, executed in raised Gothic lettering, reads O IHR LEUTE ALLE VIER WAS IHR SUCHT DAS FINDT IHR HIER, encircling the entire design. The bold, sculptural rendering of the central figure and the finely detailed maritime background are characteristic of the high-quality Zellerfeld Mint workmanship of the period. |
