The outer circle displays eight shields representing various Habsburg possessions and historical territories, including Castile and León at the top and Upper Austria and Tyrol at the bottom. The concentric bands are divided at the apex by twin shields of Hungary and Bohemia, and at the base by the arms of the city of St. Veit am Glan, incorporating the figures of St. Vitus and a cauldron.
