The inscription records the birth of Duke Carl Heinrich of Mecklenburg on 30 May and his baptism on 28 July in the year MDCXVI, concluding with the acclamatory word VIVAT. The lettering is deeply struck in bold Roman capitals, and the wreath provides an elegant decorative border around the entire epigraphic field. |
