Obverse description Draped bust of Archbishop Anselm Francis of Ingelheim facing right, depicted in ecclesiastical vestments with a fur-trimmed cope, his long curled hair falling to the shoulder in the baroque manner. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the drapery and hair. The encircling Latin legend reads ANSELM FRANC D:G ARCHIEP MOGUNTI, identifying the sitter by name and title. The portrait occupies nearly the full field, with the legend positioned along the outer rim.
