Reverse description The quartered arms of the Principality of Lippe displayed as a fully mantled achievement of heraldry: the ornate shield, divided into nine quarters bearing traditional Lippe charges including roses, eagles, and geometric devices, is surmounted by a jewelled princely crown and flanked by elaborately draped ermine-lined mantling tied with tasselled cords at each side. The circumferential legend, separated by small rosette stops, reads 2 THALER VII EINE F. MARK above and VEREINS MÜNZE below, with 3½ GULDEN to the right and the date 1843 at the base of the field. A fine beaded border frames the entire design.
